Hi there, this week we have been learning about divisibility rules.

You might be thinking I already know how to do division,but do you know how to find if it is divisible by any number from 1 - 10.

You see they all have a pattern where some like 6 uses the methods of two other combine .

If you try these methods and dong get them correct don't worry! I found it a bit hard at the start to you just need to keep on trying. here is a video and image

maths week is da best.

Hi there,

This week it is maths week,and maths week is the best . Maths is like our whole focus for the whole week.

We had nine choices of what we wanted to do for maths week in either by ourself or a group of up to 3 people. The choices were redesign a playground,build a bridge with 100 Popsicle stick and things like that.

so We chose the bridge.

First we lined up the tooth picks to make the main base of it. and stuck it together .

Second we made the stands to stand it up.

The boy in striped pj's

Hi there,

At the beginning of the term I started reading a book as part of my novel study, the book is called The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas so I decided to create an animation about the book. Novel study is when you read a book

and answer questions about the book. We had 2 choices of books we could read. One was this one and the other was entitled 'My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece.

So I have created an animation just to show you how good the book is.

These two people in the animation are after a book because it is so good and then there is the other book too that was one of the options for novel study.

1. cut 2 shapes of c out of cardboard

and put them together

2. Wrap wool around it then cut the wall and tie the string on.

3. Remove the cardboard and you have a pompom.

Fur or spike fur or spike fur or spike fur or spike cant decide?

Hi everyone,
 another UM learning journey blog.
Would you like fur as soft as a chinchilla or spikes like a porcupine.
most people would fromabaly go with the fur!
But no not for me...
I would go for spikes like a porcupine because if you had fus you are fluffy but you have nearly no self defense where as is you were a porcupine most predators would not want to eat you.

Shark tank Non cronological report!

Hi everyone have you ever wondered what a non chronological report is ?

It's pretty simple Its like a normal report about a product or something but you cannot use the words I ,me ,my, you and we add there are things like you need an introduction and an conclusion and style materials and a whole lot of different things .

I used piktochart to create my non chronological report,here it is.

The Jet tent

Epic Jet tent

Introduction 

This product is called the jet tent. It is called the jet tent because it is designed for times where a pet isn't going to be safe.  There are two main features: 1) a self opening tent and 2) jet propulsion. Say your pet animal went wandering off up a hill and then realized how late it was, with the Jet tent it could stay there for a whole night and be safe in the tent.   However the other option is that the pet could be whisked away up into the air because of the jet plane feature. Also, the tent can shrink and shrink the animal to a very small space like the size of a pet owners hand. It also has heating all controlled by the animal with a headpiece around it’s head.

Style

The Jet tent has the ability to protect the animal on the ground or to fly it away to safety.   Because its a jet plane you can get to places fast. Whether on the ground or in the air the tent  provides heating and an air bed so it has somewhere to sleep. It is important because it helps your pet stay alive and also if your stuck in something you can use the jetpack to pull you out it has 5000 hp so it really is easy.

It has a head piece that connects to his brain and then he can control what he wants the tent to do that is if it is capable of the tent it self.

Material It is made out of very high quality material a solid metal case that is made of gold then a whole lot of leather cloth for the outside of the tent to it is waterproof,  Then it has a metal sheet that folds out for the top of the tent if it is hailing or there is thunder the metal is thunder proof the thunder bounces off the metal sheet. And all the metal and materials are all very light.

Cost

The cost for the Jet tent is high and very high for a reason.A jetpack right now today already costs around 150,000-250,000 dollars!  The tent jet costs 200,000 dollars and that is already like a discount plus the other things like fuel and that whis is free 10,000 litres then that’s a reasonable price with a tent and it is made of solid gold! 

The enchantment of life for the animal

The animal is smarter because it has the power the think about smarter things and use its imagination to do some cool things and it controls the tent 

Suitability for Pets 

The Jet tent will suit any pet owners animal no matter what!  Trust me! It shrinks the animal and the tent itself to a suitable size that you can choose.

Conclusion 

So this means that all pet owners will be able to relax without  worrying about having a pet lost. Also it will make a great habitat for the pet.  So this is a very good product.

The grateful Crane

I'm back today with another post, this post is about a story that I read when I was doing my reading work, it is called the Grateful Crane . Here is a summary.

The Grateful Crane is a Japanese story that is about a man. One day he had finished getting wood and was going back to his home. The day changed slowly into night. It was a cold winter night when he saw a crane that was trapped. He helped the crane and went home. Then a girl came to his house and kept making silk fabric and they kept on selling it and making money. Then one day they realized the girl was the crane and so then the crane flew away.

Number patterns

What is a number pattern you might wonder. A number pattern is something that was invented by
fibonicci. A number pattern is when you start of with a number so 5 then times by a number which i will have as 6 and then a number to add or subtract which is 5 so 5x6+5=35 .

improved cool new subject for all schools!

What would you innovate to make a new subject to teach children? What would it be? I thought of an idea which is called reating.

 I came up with that name it is when you take reading and writing and combine them together .You read a piece of a story and then you continue it in a different book and make it like a b2 then there will be a whole series of something written by a whole lot of different authors and.


 I have created a device that may help a bit while doing it it is called the reatbot02.

The ripper rugby tournament!!!

On monday we held a ripper rugby tournament at our school!

where about 4 or 5 diffrent schools came to our school to play ripper rugby including west melton and we played 4 rounds of aprox 30 mins .

Hi there every one. What is your favourite age?

The best age to be for me is 16 because you can start to drive a car so it is much easier to get around places.

Alvin thinks the best is 9 because it is a number that he think is lucky .

Thom the best age for me is 16 because I have the same reason as Jonathon.

Awesome cycle safe!

 Kia Ora bloggers yesterday and the day before was cycle safety  so I am going to talk about the incredible time I had. so On the first day we did some biking around the court and played some games like slow race and shrinking square .This week were were all very excited for Wednesday and Thursday because the City council for cycle safe came to our school. It was really awesome we learnt some skills like riding on the road and how to right turn.also left turn you need to put out the hand the way you are turning. This is important for all people to know this because If you ever do ride on the road you can be safer and smarter.

We also learnt a few tips of how to not lose pocket money from riding a bike if you do a wheelie or do  a stunt it meant that you will be fined 110 $! no helmet 55 $. That is if the police caught you .

It was really fun We also did a scavenger hunt! we had to answer questions too.
At the end of the two days we had finished and then we got all A key chain.

It was a very fun experience.

So do you see why it can  make a difference in the meaning?

How to create the number 44

HI there blogging world I am here with another blog today For my home learning It was how to make the number 44 So My teachers said to share it in a creative way so I did.I made it into a rap .And here is what I ended up with It's not the best but I tried and it took me 2 hours just to make it!!!but Now it will not upload and said error fail and wont let me put it on to the blog so i will just write it down.

My recount

This week we have been writing long recounts SO today I am sharing My recount with you.

Fixing a dvd player.

When I was small I loved to watch dvds but one day when I was about 2 I tried to put Three dvds in my dvd player at once and It got jammed and it stopped working.I was annoyed that I could not watch any more dvd’s my parents did not want to get a new dvd player for out tv .So I had to just go without a dvd player for my tv at first it was alright because lots of cartoons were on tv.

But as time passed I started to get bored .Because there were not as many cartoons on tv anymore .we left the dvd player in its place for years and I forgot about it.One day we got some dvd discs to put into our player.But we could not watch them because As I said before It was jammed so we got a dvd player like a computer It was going for a few years until it was so old and could not play any more So we chucked it away.

When I was about 7 we got more dvds but we did not bother to do anything about it but then we keep on getting dvds from other people that did not want them any more .There was a stack about as tall as my sister .My mum said that we needed to do something about the dvds so soon we started to think of ideas . Obviously the first few ideas were chuck them away give them to other people .

But then my sister said what a shame that we can’t watch them so I said let's think of something that we can do to be able to watch them.Get a new dvd player said my sister but mum said no it was a long time when I was ten last week I decided to try and fix the dvd player.

I unplugged the cords and all that and got a screwdriver and pulled it apart I took the dvd disc that was jammed out. I started looking around inside the dvd player it looked confusing I found the lights and there was a piece that made the disc spin but there was a cord that was unplugged to the corner of the player I connected It and put the pieces back together.

It took One hour and It was exhausting . Because There was finally two cartoons but I had to miss them and I fixed the dvd player then when I was finished I plugged it all back in and found the dvd disc I was wanting to watch for a long time star wars the last jedi but then something struck me …

What if it was so old that like the other dvd players it was old and would not play any dvds.but my dad said it was still worth a try so I turned it on it was working!

But then the moment of truth was about to come I put the dvd disk inside and pressed the play button and it started to work and play the dvd I thought to myself maybe. because I jammed the player and the disc inside pushed the wire that connected it and it fell of so that was why it was not working . That was what we thought why it was jammed and not working and it was worth it because I watched lots of dvd’s.Then One day we had to give them to other people so It was worth it any way fixing it And from then on which was a few days ago I can watch anything I want.

And I was very happy because I thought I would never be able to watch them any more but I now still can.
