Our trip to hanmer springs

On Saturdy morning we all woke up and made some food to bring with us and then we on our road trip.


The road trip was so long just like in the previous blog😢.

But one the way there were lots of hills which was a bit more interesting.
This time we did not stop one the way like to timaru we just drove straight to hanmer.
When we got to hanmer we drove to our holiday park mum had booked an Top 10 holiday park.
But this time we were in the camping grounds and we were sleeping in a camping van because  mum tried to book a cabin but there were no left.

Then we went the the very large pool at hamner springs.It is called  hanmer springs thermal hot pools and spa .
We brought a two day pass and water slide tickets we were there for so long I think that my favourite thing was the black hole it is a very long and cool slide.I also liked the other 2 the white one with no name and the super bowl. We were playing for a long time there.




day number 2  We went to go climbing a mountain and went to the top there was a lookout.

but my sister and my dad did not come up .Then we went to the shops to get some things to eat and some ice blocks ,drinks and fruit .after our picnic we went back to the pools after about 2 -3 hours we started to drive home when we got home we went to bed.

my trip post not summer learning journey

On tuesday we woke up with a suprize



We were going to Timaru

We went one a very long trip.😪In the middle of the trip we stopped at Ashburton fur a picnic lunch there was a very long zip line we went on it it was 9 feet  tall at first i thought i wass going to fall off because there was no harness.
When we got to timaru we went to have a play and went to have a look Around.

We went to  our cabin that we were going stay in mum had booked in a cabin at the Top 10 holiday park.Then we went to the fair at the beach we played in the swimming pool and after a wee while we went to play on the playground  and also looked at the birds in the bid hour it was a very big huge net house in a sepher shape There were birds there I loved one that was green and yellow and blue and red like a rainbow There also was a very funny chicken that looked like half parrot and half chicken It was called a Golden pheasant .Then we got back to our cabin and we played at the playground just in front of our cabin soon we went to bed.



On the second day it was even better first we went to the shops we had never been to the shops in timaru I got a drone  The drone had a camera we also did all sorts of fun things like went to the circus and all the places you could imagine at timaru I thought that it was very fun we also had domino's pizza for lunch.When we were on our way home it was very windy one the way home it was so windy that some trees branches had been blowen off the trees and they were very big ones covering the road The wind speed was 85 k/h  and wet the rain was also very very strong  that every where had sings up saying caution .When we got home  mum said that she did not know that the wind speed was that fast and the weather was that bad or else she would have never drove home she would had stayed st the top 10 holliday park for another whole day but we got home safely We were playing and went to bed .

Ten animals that i would save from extinction


1. black robin   Because i think that they are a very unique and they are cute

2.panda           Because they are very rare and are very special to china

3.polar bear    Because They are only seen in antarctica and are getting very endangered

4. artic fox       Because they are getting hunted by humans and I think that they should be saved

5. mexican axolotl because they are very unique 

6. Matschie’s Tree Kangaroo because i think that they are having their homes destroyed which is trees

7.komodo dragons  because they are very rare to see and i just seem to like them!

Hyacinth Macaw  because they are very rare and that if you look at them You will see that they also are very unique

9.kaiser newt

because I think that they are very rare to see one and there are that many

10.lake erie water snake 

Because they look like a very cool thing and i would definitely save it.

air pollution it is blocking be from seeing very clear and I need to wear a mask to stop it getting into my body i think that they should stop using factories that use air pollution and also try to make the factories have a place where all the air pollution goes and then have a chemical to dissolve it Oh how i wish that there was no air pollution

Crazy clouds

Have you ever seen a very cool shaped cloud?

I have!!

in some country's the highest temperature's are very hot and also very not so hot.

so today i have a graph that shows which countries that are well known and what their highest temperature is

chosen 4 countries China, america,india,canada
and it is clear that america has the highest temperature!!!of 143 degrees!!!

we need to keep safe in the sun.

then have fun 

tips to be safe in the sun .

you can be safe in all the basics like wear the right clothing.wear a hat .

also sunscreen if you are wearing short sleeve clothes.

have shades like for at the beach.

you can play games inside too you will just need air conditioning to keep you cool

week 3 day 1 activity 1

Today is the new day of the new week.

our country is a surprisingly very popular tour destination .

In 2017 we reached a stunning 2-3 million visitors!!!

some came in the summer and some in the winter.

 when would I suggest to come to new zealand in seasons.

people mostly think summer but no i would not suggest that why not?

Because new zealand has the highest percent of getting skin cancer and i don't think that can be very good.

not winter because obviously it is very cold.

I think that we can choose something like spring because it is not cold and not to hot and that is the time when all things like flowers open and I think that spring is the best time.

Faded glory 

Today there is a problem .

The coral reef it is being damaged and losing its color.

every year 200 million dollars is being spent to protect the coral reef .

We need some raising ways so we can protect it.

1. use money machines that make real money.

2. have signs up for donations of amounts of 10 dollars to help the coral reef.

3. we can have pop up sings all over the web on popular sites like google youtube and also face book.

what else can you think of for fund raising.

 I think that I can come up with a few more ways.

4. we can have shops near the coral reef have sings that say donate now to save the coral reef.

5.also at places like life rescues at the coral reef and at beaches

but not quite the last activity 2 more to go now .

if you over fish in new zealand you can be charged with a fine of over

                      $100,000 

do I think that it is a good rule or a bad rule well I am in between why well there are reasons.

it is bad 

well it is a bit of a dumb rule to me because your getting charged so much

that if you over fish 2 or more times that is the amount of a decent super car like a murcielago lamborghini 

and people can be loosing lots of money of course the government would be happy duh.

It is good 

well it is also good for reasons 

why can it be a good reason?! 

well if you dont get punished well you wont learn and the fish is not just for one person So i also think that it is there for good reasons!

over all I think that a fine of 5 thousand would be much better than 100,000!!!

I have chosen picture number 2 for a story


here is my story 

 The challenger

One fine day a youtuber named david was doing his every day stuff vloging

Untlil

his friend challenged him to something he agreed to do it.

david challenged his friend to a challenge that was quite simple 

he challenged him to stack 1000 cups on top of each other like this.

but soon he found out that he had made a big mistake his friend challenged him to a lif risking challenge he had to climb a cylinder that was over 5 km high and was very  thin and only held a amount of weight it was hollow and made of very thin wood.

when he got to the top he was to take a selfie and just as he finished taking the selfie the cylinder started to fall and collapse but he still had to get down so what he did was as the Cylinder fell he walked the way opposite the way that the cylinder was falling.

When he got down he was surprisingly fine.

and he completed his  challenge and from then on he knew that he should not ever have to do challenges ever again.

and for his friend he never stacked 1thousand  cups.

and that is my story.

Rotorua is a very popular destination in new zealand



how about this pool # not the one I would like to go in it is called devils bath.

but people want to change the name what should we call it.

keep it the same devil's bath.

or  we can call it something like the green swamp.

What else can we  think of the crater of slime.

the crater of death.

*the only place where there is lava in the world that is green.



the one with the * is my favourite name that I think that people should call it.

I think that I would like to use the helicopter yeah that one.


what would you like to use I chose a helicopter to visit milford sound.


Why do I think that I would want to use a helicopter I would because I think that It would be a great experience. Because I have never been on one Even tough it would have to cost quite a bit.
I think that it will be very fun.what do you think about going on a helicopter maybe you don't prefer to go on a helicopter.

How to make A bacon and cheese toastie you will need:

1. toastie machine


2. some tasty flavoured cheese


3.some ham or backon


4.butter


5.2 pices of bread

how to cook it well bake it




1. get the two pieces of bread

2. spread the butter on the bread

3.put the cheese and bacon or ham on the bread and pun one piece on top then put it
in the toastie

when done eat!!!!

who gets up Early well I can tell you one thing I dint that it in the holidays because What is the point?
There is no school in the holidays .

My mum she has to get up early all the time same with my dad


My sister she sleeps till 12 pm in the morning so that explains it all.


extra people my grandpa and grandma they like to get up early around 8 o'clock

Three plants you say well i have some interesting plants for you all



1.hydnellum peckii

2.baseball plant

The similarities well they are both  plants that you wont see very often

I did not even know that these were a type of plant.
They both can be found in europe.


Differences The main differences are that the baseball is very toxic and that the hydnellum peckii

is edible but it taste bitter.

Also they obviously look very different.

And the baseball can be found in south africa when the hydnellum peckii
 is only also found in usa.

I think that for the basics I might not want to because I think that I can work it out but when it gets to the hard part like making a flower or like a dress / skirt I may start to get intrested.

                                             Finally onto week two yay!!!

I am now fiannaly onto week two this is my first one for week two I home I can get some very good feed back


now three people that I would like to compete in the cycling race . 

#1 usain bolt I think that he is very fit and think that he will get a good ranking because if his legs are fast then they should  be predy fast on a bike just that he has to be able to turn at a very fast speed.

 I think that he sould be doing it too because since he dose workouts everyday and he has a gym in his 6.5 million dollar mansion then he is definitely ready for it.

#3 my dad I think that he needs a bit of a work out he hasn't done one for a wee while.

What it is like to be in new zealand in 2018
In new zealand 2018
I think was a great year .
How did things feel like well it felt like suddenly very smart technology was developed like the x ray that was three dimensional and you could even see your blood and all sorts of other stuff and be able to view it from all angles.
I think that also it was  a busy year and every night there would be still people driving around the malls like lots and for days like boxing day there was a whole lot of trafic just to get to a 1 km place it took us just about 20minutes !!!!

I think that this year has been a very great year.

Living on the edge

 here is my trip that I went on new years eve

On monday In the morning we went to golf first thing in the morning It was just the start.Next we went to lyttelton.
Then when we got home we set up a tent and we went to the fire works stand at hagely park.
We where there until january the first and on the first second of january the first we saw fire works.
then we got home and went to bed.

day 5 activity 1 week one

logging should new zealand be allowed to be logging.


I think that at the same time we need to be logging but at the same time we do not.
My reasons why
we should because I think that if we don't log new homes wont be able to be made and it will be a lot harder if we are not logging . also because I think that if no one logs then no one is going to get any money well quite a few .

We should not well we also should not be logging because it is destroying our forests.
Also because I think that it would not be good because trees provide us oxygen so I think that it will be good to leave a Fair amount of trees around us too.

Today we are  doing where I would like to build my hotel in.

In stead of salthotels on a whole 10,000 km squeared I would like to have a hotel in just like a normal city it would be a very good place to be in  because it could be not the best  in a salt hotel just incase.

the salt falls off and the whole thinng collapes.

day 4 activity 2 week 1 pancakes and maple syrup

Hi there today I am back with another blog .
This blog is about my favourite food and how to make it.
My favourite food is sushi

step one put the rice in a rice cooker with some water in it then when it is finished cooking.
step two get a sheet of dried seaweed on top if a sushi roll which looks like this.


 Then you spread the rice evenly on the seaweed .Make sure that you put in on the sushi roll. Also add some chicken or fresh salmon and some avocado or some carrots / cucumber or capsicum. then use the sushi roll and roll it up.
Then you are done!!!

Hey there I have another post for summer learning journey
Today i made my own mythical creature/beast
My beast has two sharp front teeth that come out of his mouth when he has his mouth shut
.He has a big lions main that is black his eyes are blue with flames as bright as the brightest thing you have ever seen. It has a body like a pheonix and wings that have claws at the end
it has a tail with a fluffy bit at the end that is in a triangle shape.

the math problem seems hard but if you think and do  it the quick way which some would have thought of is to just simply multiply 365 by 3 = 1095 also known as 1liter 95mils thats not even a bit over half a milk bottle!!!!

What is my favourite thing about my home town?It is a place where it is nice and beautiful
What is it famous for? I think that it is famous for being the largest city in the south island.
what is it like? I think that in the day time it gets busy but in the night it can starts to slow down and get a bit more calmer.

maui and the big fish

Today i read a story about maui and the big fish he had a hook and he had made it himself it was meant to be a magical one one day he threw it into the water  not very long the magical hook caught it on a fish now this fish was a big one. And  it was a very big one the fish was known  as the  north island of new zealand i think that it was a great story.
